A City of Resilience that always Bounces Back

We think Mark Simpson, BBC News NI summed us up perfectly this morning when he said on Radio Ulster that ‘Newry is a City of Resilience that always bounces back’.πŸ™πŸ»
As we reflect on yesterday’s devastating floods and what may yet come, we have been speaking to news outlets and politicians over the last 24-36 hours about the help we need to bounce back.
Most of our city is open for business this morning. These businesses need our support more than ever. Please do think about shopping locally in the days and weeks ahead. It will be greatly appreciated.😊
For the businesses that have been impacted, we will do everything in our power to seek support for them, both financially and otherwise.πŸ’ͺ
We cannot thank enough the people who have offered support -from supporting the sandbag distribution yesterday to offering free services, and storage, to businesses proposing staff days for volunteering to assist with the clean-up operation.😊
We really are very grateful for our city’s resilience, and we will need it more than ever in the difficult time ahead.
We remain on the ground providing practical solutions for our members including facilitating relocations, assisting with financial support requests, water extraction, and dehumidifiers.
Please do contact us if you need help or would like to offer help.
Thank you.
