The excitement of Christmas is in the air, and some of Newry’s City Centre businesses have gone all out this festive season with some magical window displays!

Newry BID decided to create some friendly competition and organise a Window Dressing Competition.

The competition was very tough with 18 local businesses creating magical scenes to attract customers into their very own Winter Wonderland.

Newry BID had an independent judge visit all stores and make their decisions based on the theme, promoting their product and overall look of the display.

It was a very tough decision to place the top 3 which were:

  • 1st Place – Mc Evoys Newry
  • 2nd Place – Newry Credit Union
  • 3rd Place – Joanna McCartney Hairdressing

Newry BID were delighted to see the involvement from their members to help showcase Newry in its best light, working in line with their theme of Improving how Newry Looks. Congratulation’s to all the winners!

Eamonn Connolly presents Martin McEvoy, Edel Reel and Patricia McGlennon Blade from McEvoy’s Drapery with their prize as winners in Newry BID’s Christmas Window Dressing Competition.

Newry Credit Union: l-r Ciara Byrne, Lauren Byrne, Orla Lynch Marketing Officer accepts their award for 2nd place from Eamonn Connolly Newry Bid Manager, Kathleen Loughran Staff Supervisor, Louise Campbell Finance Officer.
