International Women’s Day takes place this year on Monday 8th March. We are delighted to highlight two key initiatives being hosted by ourselves at Newry BID, and The Newry Chamber of Commerce and Trade.
Newry BID Social Media Profile Campaign
We want to profile some of the fantastic business women in our city for International Women’s Day (Monday 8th March). We would love to feature as many women as possible on our social media over the next week. This year’s theme is #ChoosetoChallenge, this can be anything from challenging stereotypes to gender balance to female roles in senior management, Board level or business ownership.
What we are asking for is a short interview or video addressing the following points.
Name: Business: Role: What you enjoy most about being in business: What do you think needs to be challenged this International Women’s Day (this can relate to yourself or anything for women) for example – how women are treated in the media, or the lack of female CEOs in companies etc.
We can help you with this by doing a quick phone interview or recording a video with you, alternatively you can do it yourself and send it into us. Please send a photo if you are doing an interview.
If you are interested in taking part in the campaign please contact firstname.lastname@example.org before 10am Thursday 4th March.
