Gerard and Anne McGuigan have been running their pub at the ‘working end’ of Newry since 2002 and the generous couple have created a warm-hearted atmosphere at McGuigan’s.
Everyone is looked after when they’re in McGuigan’s. Taxis are called and revellers, particularly those by themselves, are welcome to wait until they arrive.
The family-run bar is well known for its emphasis on fundraising for worthy causes and good wholesome fun. Ann organises an annual Ladies Day Out to see the best West End shows and they support pool and darts teams as well as provide changing facilities and showers for three football teams in the local Carnbane League.
