O’Neills was founded in 1918 as a manufacturer of Gaelic footballs and it is now the largest sportswear manufacturing company in Ireland.

We are a 100% Irish owned company, proud of our Irish heritage, employing over 700 people in Ireland. We have extensive manufacturing plants in Strabane, Co. Tyrone and in Walkinstown Avenue, Dublin.

We are a vertically integrated manufacturing company. We convert yarn into fabric in our modern knitting and dyeing plants, which is transferred to our print and sewing units where it is made into garments. Our ability to manufacture from our own fabrics allows us to specially design garments to meet the short delivery dates dictated by the market.

In the last forty years the company has expanded considerably and is now a major supplier across a wide range of sports.

Our aim is to produce high quality garments suitable for all sporting and leisure activities. We customise garments in our embroidery and print departments to satisfy demand for crests, logos, sponsorship etc. In addition we also offer a large range of core stock colours, which can be ordered and customised with club and sponsors’ crests etc.

Champions currently wear our garments across a wide range of sports including Gaelic games, soccer, rugby, boxing, basketball, athletics, Special Olympics athletes, hockey, and netball etc

Founded in 1918 by Mr Charles O’Neill, the small company, based in Dublin’s Capel Street, specialised in the manufacture of footballs and hurling balls. O’Neills Irish International Sports Co. Ltd introduced the now standard white ball – a process of innovation which continued as the company brought vision and quality to the production of an entire range of Gaelic sportswear and accessories.

In 1955, following his death, Charles O’Neill's son, Paul took control of the growing company. It was his dream to develop a higher standard for the image of Irish national sports. He introduced new and exciting styles – all based on traditional garments worn across the country. New knitting and dyeing machinery was introduced and, as demand grew steadily in the 1980s, the company moved to the larger premises at Walkinstown Avenue in Dublin. “The House of Sport” remains the home of the company’s head office.

O’Neills has had to respond to the massive surge in demand for quality Gaelic teamwear in recent years. New styles, designs and products are requested and met every year. Our expertise in innovation of design has been introduced to rugby, soccer, hockey, boxing and a wide range other sports and leisurewear customers.

O’Neills now has established sales offices in Dublin, London and Belfast, as well as a second production plant in Strabane, Co. Tyrone. International sales offices have been opened in the United States, France and Australia. State of the art technology in both design and production ensure that O’Neills Irish International Sports Co. Ltd. remains true to the vision of Paul O’Neill, and living up to his dream has become evermore challenging.

To all of you, from all of us at O'Neills,
