Volunteers from city centre businesses took part in a litter pick organised by Newry BID on Thursday, August 29.

More than 30 civic-minded volunteers gathered rubbish and pulled weeds at Margaret Square, Marcus Square, Hill Street, North Street Car Park, Water Street, and The Mall.

Businesses who took part in the initiative were First Derivatives and The Currency Exchange, Hill Street.
Our next project to improve how Newry looks is World Clean-up Day on Saturday September 21st.

Businesses are asked to encourage staff to help out if possible.
