Hospitality Ulster worked up a response with Newry BID to the Department for Communities’ consultation on Liquor Licences,
which runs to 17:00, Friday 6th December 2019.

The Hospitality Ulster and BID responses are available here: https://www.newry.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/1h-HU-Liquor-Licensing-Policy-Paper.pdf  Please refer to this for guidance.

The changes that we are lobbying for would remove some anomalies that over 100 year old including our disadvantage around Easter trading compared to the Republic of Ireland amongst others.

The BID has already submitted a response and encourages members in the hospitality sector to submit their response at the following link: https://www.communities-ni.gov.uk/consultations/consultation-liquor-licensing-laws-northern-ireland

For further information please contact the BID office.
