Phase 2 Covid 19 Shop Enhancement Grant Programme Now Open

Phase 2 of the Covid 19 Shop Enhancement Grants programme opened late last week for grants up to a maximum of £2,000 per individual business. All applicants who registered an expression of interest in the programme back in August 2020 are eligible to apply. You will not be eligible if you did not apply for the scheme in August 2020.

You may however apply if you received support through Phase 1 of the programme which offered support for social distancing and sanitising equipment.

Phase 2 covers:

• Exterior minor works including painting, signage, doors/windows/shutter replacement
• Purchase of awnings/gazebos for social distancing
• Purchase of equipment for remote working and/or digitisation of the business to facilitate Covid 19 compliance customer contact (IT hardware and software). Please note this applies only to the outright purchase of equipment and not equipment on a monthly/annual subscription or hire charge.

Please note that businesses which submit multiple applications for different business premises, only a maximum of 3 grants will be available. If you are applying for funding for two separate items you will need two quotes for each item.

Grants will be awarded on a ‘first come first served’ basis.  Therefore, you are encouraged to return your application as soon as possible.  The final date for receipt of applications is 10 February 2021 at 12 noon.This application must be accompanied by two quotations for each piece of equipment. All quotations should be signed, dated and on headed paper.

The funders reserve the right to check validity of quotations. Details of the eligibility criteria has been sent to all eligible applicants. Please check your emails to see if you have received this.
