Scam Alert

Please note some of our BID members have made us aware of scam emails and texts being sent in relation to business grants or support. Examples include scammers pretending to be from Santander Bank.
In the wake of the recent flooding and many businesses seeking financial support, we are asking members to be extra vigilant.

Never click on or respond to any correspondence which you weren’t expecting, or which may not be genuine. If you are unsure, please call your Bank directly or call us in Newry BID.

This is a difficult time for many businesses and scammers are well aware of this. It is important that we all stay alert to this type of fraudster activity.

In the meantime, we continue to carry out media activity today to highlight and support Newry’s business and we are working through the details of the announcement from yesterday.
